Raipur District Congress Committee on Sunday observed the 73th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi.
The day was celebrated as ‘Sadbhawna Diwas’ and State Congress President Bhupesh Baghel administered oath of social harmony to the party workers to pay respects to late Rajiv Gandhi.
The District Congress Committee organised a symposium on the personality of late Rajiv Gandhi and recalled his invaluable contribution to the nation. A march was also taken out from Congress Bhawan to Rajiv Gandhi Chowk to mark the occasion.
Senior leaders including former Union Minister Charan Das Mahant, former Ministers Md Akbar and Amitesh Shukla, former Member of Parliaments P.R. Khunte and Karuna Shukla, Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey were among the key leaders who attended the function.
