Congress on Saturday sought to know from the ruling BJP as to which cities of State it plans to develop as smart city.
Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla said that Chief Minister Raman Singh has been promising in his campaign and road shows that the BJP would develop Jagdalpur, Balod, Bilaspur, Chirmiri and Raipur as smart cities. He also said that list of 100 smart cities as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not include any of the cities in Chhattisgarh.
Congress alleged that urban areas in Chhattisgarh lack the basic civic amenities.
