'Cong out of power in C'garh for long due to Ajit Jogi'

All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary Kamleshwar Patel has said that it is because of former  Chief Minister Ajit Jogi that the Congress party had been out of power in Chhattisgarh for such a long time.

Talking to media persons here at Congress Bhawan on Monday, Patel said the Congress party is repenting its decision to have made Jogi the first Chief Minister of the state.

Patel further said that the Congress party gave Jogi much more than he deserved. Party reposed trust on him with closed eyes and thought he would work for tribals, dalits and backward classes. Astonishingly, he worked against them in his three year tenure and as a result people denied trusting Congress party, he said.

Now, Jogi is not in the Congress party and a positive environment is seen in the State in favour of the Congress party with regard to the Assembly elections slated for later this year, according to Patel.
