Congress leader and Baikunthpur MLA Ambika Singh Deo on Tuesday opposed the formation of Manendragarh-Chirmiri district by breaking up Korea district.
She told the Pioneer that it was unfair to break Korea district without developing amenities in the mother district. Korea does not even have a district hospital, she said.
“I am raising the voice of the people of Korea before the Chief Minister and demanding that Baikunthpur be developed as a district headquarter before breaking Korea district,” she said.
She said she won't share the dais at any of the programme in the district till her demand is not fulfilled. “I will be with the common people of the district."
