Congress members on Tuesday raised slogans in Chhattisgarh Assembly while being dissatisfied with the State Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra’s reply over the incident in which Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists threw ink at State Congress Chief Bhupesh Baghel’s residence and misbehaved with Congress legislative Party (ClP) leader TS Singhdeo in Raipur on Monday evening.
later, Chief Minister Raman Singh had to intervene and provide his statement over the issue after the Opposition continued to create ruckus over the statement given by Home Minister Ram Sewak Paikara.
The Chief Minister said in the House that senior member Brijmohan Agrawal has expressed the concern of the House over the incident. We all are hurt by such incidents and the Home Minister has also given his statement in which he informed that action was taken against people of both sides.
The House agrees with Brijmohan Agrawal and condemns the act so that such things do not happen again. We should work with goodwill in the House and end this matter here. If in the coming days such incidents are repeated then police will take stern action, he said.
The issue came up soon after the question hour when Congress member Satyanarayan Sharma demanded discussion over the Civil Supplies scam issue.
Congress member Bhupesh Baghel said that the Government was trying to divert attention from Civil Supplies scam through such incidents.

They were stopped by police but some of them crossed the police barricades and threw some ink like substance on the wall of his residence. Splashes of ink fell on the dresses of policemen on duty. They were then arrested and case was registered against them with Civil lines police station under Prohibitory sections.
