With commencement of ‘Navaratri’, almost all the senior leaders of state Congress were on Wednesday at Dantewada to seek blessings from Goddess Danteshwari. They sought blessings to overthrow ruling Bharatiya Janata Party from power in the state and to form the next government after the elections to be held next month.
The leaders who paid visit to the temple include former Union Minister Charandas Mahant, Leader of Opposition, T.S. Singhdeo, Working Presidents of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC), Shiv Kumar Daharia and Ramdayal Uikey, former Leader of Opposition, Ravindra Chaubey and former CGPCC Chief Dhanendra Sahu.
Notable, CGPCC Chief Bhupesh Baghel didn’t accompany them because he has to leave for national capital, New Delhi in the afternoon. Except Baghel almost all the senior leaders of the organization were present. All the leaders, earlier had jointly left for Dantewada through helicopter on Wednesday morning.
The joint visit of senior leaders to the temple is being seen as an effect of admonish of High Command over reported factionalism in the party. However, the leader displayed that they are united and are going to fight the elections without any Chief Ministerial face. They have a firm standing against the ruling BJP to stop them forming government for fourth consecutive time.
