nThe Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Tuesday launched the ‘Join Congress Social Media’ campaign as part of a national drive to link its ‘social media warriors’.

AICC Chhattisgarh in-charge secretary Dr Chandan Yadav launched the campaign in the presence of in-charge General Secretary Chandrashekhar Shukla, INC Social Media in-charge Ruchira Chaturvedi, IT Cell Chairman Jay Wardhan Bissa and others here.

Dr Yadav said the target is to have five lakh ‘social media warriors' all over the country in the wake of former President Rahul Gandhi's call to people to become the ‘army of truth to defend the idea of India'.

These warriors will put across the party’s views on various issues. It is a move to counter the IT cell of the BJP, said Wardhan.

Bissa said the drive will be organized in all the districts of the state. In the first two months, 11,000 people will be linked.

The issues that prevailed during the regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dominate the social media campaign, he added.
