Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and In-charge of Chhattisgarh J P Nadda on Thursday said that the Congress party is in the habit of making loud noises while doing nothing at the ground level.

‘The BJP workers are weak in this aspect but if something had been achieved by them, they need to improve on their success before presenting them before the people,’ he stated while addressing a meeting of party’s district presidents and general secretaries at the State BJP headquarters here. Nadda further stated: ‘We have a powerful organization and a Government, besides an army of energetic youth. On the other hand , nationally, the BJP is the only party which has not only workers but also a programme. ‘What we need to do is to prepare better ( for polls) than what was done earlier’.

He said that not just party workers but even opposition leaders have great faith in the leadership of State Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. In his address, BJP State President Ramsevak Paikra stated that the party workers need to prepare well before getting into the poll battlefield. ‘We have to honestly take the party’s programmes at the ground level to its logical conclusion’

He said that every worker would have to work very hard at the booth level during the forthcoming polls. ‘We need to deliver far more superior results than what was achieved earlier’. During the meeting , BJP National Joint General Secretary (Organization) Saudan Singh took detailed reports from the district presidents regarding party’s various programmes implemented by them in their respective regions.

‘We have the biggest target at hand and our workers have the ability to achieve the task’. He further stated : ‘We need to have a strong grip at the booth level. If the booth level organization of workers is strong, the results would automatically be favourable’. Singh directed that all the party's Women, Active Worker and Common Worker conventions in Chhattisgarh must be completed by September 15 this year.

Other senior leaders who attended the meeting on Thursday were—MP Ramesh Bains , State General Secretary (Organization) Rampratap Singh, State General Secretary Shivtaran Sharma, Bhupendra Savanni, Subash Kashyap, Chairman of State Mineral Development Corporation Gauri Shankar Agrawal , Chairman of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Subash Rao besides other leaders of party.
