Thanks to the Chhattisgarh government's policies, the unemployment rate in the state is half the national average, the Congress party said on Monday.
As against 7.6 percent nationally, the unemployment rate in the state is just 3.8 percent, PCC Communication Wing head Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said.
He quoted the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) as saying that Chhattisgarh was doing well by opening employment opportunities.
The low rate of unemployment is due to schemes initiated by the Bhupesh Baghel government like Godhan Nyay Yojana and Kisan Nyay Yojana, Trivedi said.
The Baghel government also opened employment opportunities in the government and a large number of vacancies were filled up, he added.
