State BJP Spokesperson Shivratan Sharma on Wednesday said that the Congress Government in the State is making mockery of the farmers by giving relief through waiving off of only short-term loan.
In a statement , Sharma said that the Congress party in its poll manifesto had claimed that within 10 days the loans of farmers would be waived off. But the order issued states of only short-term loan.
“This points towards the fact that farmers have been made false promises and Congress party is repeating history’, he said.
Sharma said, “Congress party as per its promise made should announce waiver of medium and long term loans of farmers also otherwise before they establish firm roots in the state, the party will be uprooted”.
