nState congress in its meeting on Saturday formed two committees to ensure victory in the upcoming urban bodies’ elections. The committees are election campaign committee and election manifesto committee.
AICC’s Chhattisgarh in-charge for party affairs P.L. Punia briefing media persons about the decisions taken in the meeting informed that all the district committees have been asked to finalize the names of candidates in a day or two.
Regarding the election committee, Punia informed that he himself would be the convenor of the committee while almost all senior leaders, including cabinet ministers, sitting and ex-MPs and MLAs have been included in it.

A draft committee headed by urban administration minister Shiv Kumar Daharia has been formed for this purpose, he added.
Punia was confident that like in assembly polls the party will register a clean sweep in urban bodies’ poll too. The works done by Congress government in the state for development and public welfare would pave way for our victory, he said.
