The State Congress on Saturday took on the BJP Government and demanded from it to issue a White Paper on the Pushp Steel issue clearing complete situation within three days.
While discussing with the media here on Saturday, former Minister and State Congress general secretary Bhupesh Baghel and chairman of the Congress media cell Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said that the BJP Government has been issuing false statements to save itself from the alleged fraud committed through the wrong approval it has given to the company.
The leader duo demanded from the BJP Government to make it clear that had it not written letter for forest clearance to Pushp Steel.
They further claimed that Pushp Steel had applied to the Government of India for forest clearance by submitting the photo copies of the MoU signed with the State Government, prospective licence and approval letter for mining lease and on the basis of the application, Government of India had given forest clearance to the company.
The Congress leaders asked the BJP Government to make it clear that had it informed the Centre that whether the Government had cancelled the MoU, prospecting licence and mining lease given to the company.
They said that now the State Government was giving false reply to the questions of the Congress in pieces.
