In a bid to stop any possibility of tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) , Congress candidates of Surajpur district have been camping outside the Strong Soom.
The Strong room has been established at Government Industrial Training Institute ,Surajpur.
A tent has been erected outside the premises where EVMs are stored and Congress candidate from Pratappur assembly segment and former Minister Premsai Singh and Bhatgaon Congress candidate Parasnath Rajwade are maintaining a close vigil round-the-clock.
According to information , the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee has issued directives to all its candidates to be alert over possibility of tampering of EVMs in their areas.
Taking the matter seriously, the Congress candidates of Surajpur taking a step further have decided to guard the strong room by staying in a tent.
