All the poll candidates of Congress party assembled at a crucial meeting held here with senior party leaders at the party’s State headquarters on Wednesday.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Chief Bhupesh Baghel said the trends indicate Congress may form the next Government in the State.
The meeting held was also turned into a Workshop for the Congress candidates as senior leaders offered them tips about precautions to be taken on the vote counting day.
Baghel while addressing the candidates also cautioned them for being careful about any attempt of tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in strong rooms in their respective areas. “A close monitoring is expected from you round-the-clock”, he said.
He also exhorted the Congress candidates in the meeting about possibility of them being allured by Bharatiya Janata Party in case BJP falls short of majority or was near to the half way mark to majority.
The candidates were told to reach the spot the Congress party had designated right after taking the certificate of election and not to take out any victory rally right after the declaration of victory.
