The Opposition Congress party on Monday held Chief Minister Raman Singh responsible for the alleged financial woes of Chhattisgarh.
Shailesh Nitin Trivedi the state media cell chairman of the party said the Chief Minister himself has been holding the department of finance for a quite some time and he has not taken any concrete steps to improve the health of State’s finance.
Criticising the chief minister for the alleged ‘financial mess’ he said at one hand his Government was taking loans from the Reserve bank to maintain its day-to-day expenses, on the other hand he was spending huge amount of money on the Vikash Yatra.
The Chief Minister was also laying foundations stones for different projects across the State and was making false promises to people although he was aware that the Government does not have necessary finance to meet such expenditures, he said.He also accused the Chief Minister and other BJP leaders of focusing on their own personal economy sacrificing the interest of the State.
