The Congress party has alleged that mining scam worth millions of rupees in the State is taking place by issue of illegal (duplicate) royalty slips.
In a press conference held here at Rajiv Bhawan on Friday, Congress party’s Communication Wing In-charge Shailesh Nitin Trivedi citing the information received by the party under Right to Information (RTI), levelled the allegations.
“The game of duplicate royalty slip was going on all over the State since past 15 years”, Trivedi alleged. A case of one Mining Contractor of Rajnandgaon Santosh Agrawal came to fore and no action was being taken even though complaints were lodged to relevant authorities at a higher level, he said. Neither an FIR was lodged nor any special enquiry team was constituted, Trivedi said.
Trivedi demanded that the Chief Minister should order a special audit over the income from royalty and clearance from the royalty. He also demanded stern action against the guilty by ordering a judicial probe.
