Chhattisgarh's ruling Congress said on Saturday it wants a FIR against BJP leaders for insulting the national flag by cutting a cake in the shape of a tricolour at former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary here.
Raipur Urban/District Congress Committee President Girish Dueby and other Congress leaders reached the Civil Line Police Station to register a case against former Chief Minister Raman Singh, former Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, BJP chief Vishnudeo Sai, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik and MP Sunil Soni among others.
On Friday, the BJP leaders cut a cake in the shape of a tricolour to mark the birth anniversary of Vajpayee.
