The results of the State Assembly election would be out on Sunday but the Opposition Congress has planned a grand celebration here in anticipation that it would win the majority and form the Government.

The preparations were being made by the supporters of former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi. According to State Congress Secretary Yogesh Tiwari, the celebration would be held at Jaistambh Chowk in Raipur. Jogi would attend this celebration, he said. The Election Commission has warned that expenses towards such celebration would be considered as an election expenses and would be added to the account of the concerned candidate.

The Congress, however, seems to be little bothered about it. The party is also planning to invite its workers and leaders from other region of the State. Jogi’s supporters said that Congress would win majority in the 90-member Assembly and form the Government. They said the majority of the winners are likely to be Jogi’s supporters. Jogi is likely to decide on the next strategy after declaration of the election, they claimed.

Sources said that after the declaration of the results, all winners would be asked to rush State capital where either Jogi himself or his wife Renu would be elected as their leader.
