Former minister and All India Congress Committee (AICC) member, Mohammed Akbar on Wednesday alleged that condition of Baiga tribe is worst in the State.
The BJP in its electoral declaration in 2013 had declared of framing special work plan for protecting the rights of specially conserved tribes who are facing the threat of being extinct, he said in a statement issued here.
The Baiga tribes were also to be given special reservation in the tribal quota but nothing serious has been done to implement it, he said.
They (Baiga tribals) will not progress only by wishing them for prosperity on World Tribal Day and something concrete has to be done for their welfare, Akbar added.
