Raipur and Durg Division Commissioner Brijesh Chandra Mishra has asked officials to complete the preparations for Rabi season sowing and ensure proper seed storage in the districts.
The Commissioner during a meeting held here on Thursday asked officials to get completed the survey of crops under the Crop Insurance Scheme.
He also asked officials to immediately inform the District Collector in case of seeds and fertiliser shortage.
“The system for availing power and water for irrigation purpose should be ensured and without consent of Irrigation Department officer along with the concerned District Collector, water from dams should not be released,” the Commissioner said.
He expressed the need for preparing a working plan for supplying water to those villages where water scarcity could happen during summer season.
The Commissioner also asked officials to hold health check-up camps for the prevention of seasonal diseases.
He directed officials for submission of soil examination report with the Commissioner’s Office on a weekly basis.
