Chief Minister Raman Singh has issued stern directives to all the patwaris to begin the survey of crop damage due to cyclone ‘Hudhud’ from Saturday morning (October 18) and complete the same within 48 hours.

The Chief Minister said that the survey should be complete within 48 hours so that the crop damage incurred by farmers can be evaluated and compensated at the earliest.

Singh took serious note of the complaints received from various districts about the delay caused in starting surveys for crop damage.

Following the directives of the Chief Minister,  Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand has issued circular to all district collectors and has ordered them to ensure that the survey begins on Saturday morning in all the ‘Patwari Halkas’ and is completed within 48 hours.

Immediately after the cyclone which hit several parts of Chhattisagrh, the Chief Minister had held an emergency meeting with senior officials at his residence on October 13 and had issued directives to carry out survey of the crops damaged and provide proper guidance to farmers whose farm lands have been inundated with rain water.
