Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar, during a high-level meeting held at Mantralaya on Tuesday, directed the officers to complete all necessary preparations for IPl cricket match, at Martyr Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium located at village Parsada in New Raipur.
Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) DS Mishra, Director General of Police Ramniwas, Chhattisgarh Cricket Association president Baldev Singh Bhatia and other senior officers were present in the meeting. The Chief Secretary instructed the officers to pay special attention toward quality of all the equipment and other articles to be set up at the cricket stadium, besides traffic and parking arrangements. He said sufficient lighting and drinking water arrangements should be made at the stadium.
The Chief Secretary said besides running special buses from Raipur to Parsada, necessary sign boards should be placed on the road leading to the cricket stadium. He also directed the officers to make arrangements for ambulance and necessary treatment facilities at IPl cricket match venue.
It was informed at the meeting that preparations for furnishing the stadium with all necessary articles for the IPl match would be completed by April 10. As a security measure, CCTV cameras would be installed at the stadium, it was informed.
The meeting was informed that for uninterrupted supply of electricity, six DG sets of 250 kVA and 500 kVA would be installed at the stadium. Sixty per cent work of placing chairs has been completed and the corporate box furnishing work is going on. Work for media centre, broadcasting room, mini pavilion, fire extinguishers etc is being done at war-footing. Cables are being laid for internet/WiFi facility at the stadium.
The New Raipur Development Authority is making arrangement for placing lED lights up to the stadium, whereas NRDA and Public Work Department were engaged in levelling the roads, the meeting was informed.
Principal Secretary, Public Work Department RP Mandal, principal secretary, Tourism and Culture KDP Rao, secretary, Public Health Engineering Department RS Vishwakarma, secretary to CM Subodh Kumar Singh, director Public Relations Sonmani Bora, CEO New Raipur Development Authority SS Bajaj, director Sports Jitendra Shukla, IG Raipur range GP Singh, Municipal Corporation commissioner Taran Prakash Sinha, CEO Raipur Development Authority Alex Paul Menon and other officers were present at the high level meeting.
