A series of decisions have been taken by the District-level Prohibition Advisory Committee to streamline the administration of liquor shops in the district for the year 2014-15.
In a meeting of the District Prohibition Advisory Committee chaired by the District Collector Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, it was decided to accept online applications for issuing of licences for retail shops for sale of both foreign and country liquor. The meeting also ratified the decision to close a liquor shop at Silayari Gaurav Gram and commencement of the prescribed ‘license fee’ system for streamlining of the ‘Bhang’ shops instead of the prevailing contract system.
The Committee had decided to fix a fee of Rs 5,000 instead of the prevailing Rs 4,000 as ‘Process Fee’ for each group of the retail shops for selling foreign and country liquor in the district.
