Raipur Division Commissioner Ashok Agrawal reached Chhura block of Gariaband district and organised a ‘Choupal’ at Pondh village and interacted with villagers. He inquired about status of various Government schemes like distribution of pension, distribution of ration from fair price shops, functioning of schools, Mid-day-meal being provided in the schools and other facilities being provided to the villagers.
After interacting with villagers, the Collector ordered Tehsildar of Churra to remain present in Panduka village every Thursday for dealing revenue cases. He also instructed the Sub Divisional Officer Gariaband to carry out surprise inspection about presence of teachers in schools and distribution of Mid-day-meal. The Collector asked villagers get toilets constructed in every house and contribute towards cleanliness of the village. “The State Government is providing assistance to beneficiaries for getting toilets constructed in their houses. You can get assistance from Gram Panchayat for getting toilet constructed,” he told the villagers.
