District Collectors and Janpad Panchayat CEOs will now monitor the works of 10 civil societies under the Cluster Facilitation Team (CFT) Project enacted in nine selected districts of the State under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), officials informed.
At district level, Chairman of the society will be the Collector and at block level, CEO Janpad Panchayat will be the heading the project.
Panchayat and Rural Development Department Secretary and Commissioner (MNREGA) PC Mishra has already issued orders in this context to all the Collectors and Jila Panchayat CEOs.
Under MNREGA, Coordination and Monitoring Committee has been constituted at district and block level for monitoring of CFT project of Union Rural Development Ministry.
District level committee led by Collector will comprise of CEO Jila Panchayat, Divisional Forest Officer, Agriculture Animal Husbandry Fishery Horticulture Deputy Director, Executive Engineer Water Resource, Assistant Project Officer MNREGA unit, District Project Manager of NRlM, State Coordinator and District Coordinators associated with CFT project.
The block-level committee to be constituted under the chairmanship of CEO Janpad Panchayat will comprise Forest Zone Officer, Senior Agriculture Development Officer, Veterinary Expansion Officer, Fishery Inspector, Horticulture Superintendent or Horticulture Expansion Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer Water Resource, Programme Officer under MNREGA, CSO concerning CFT project, In the meetings works related to CFT project will be reviewed and necessary guidelines will be issued for attainment of the objectives.
Union Rural Development Ministry is conducting CFT project in 26 development blocks of nine districts of the State under MNREGA.
Project includes, five blocks namely Balrampur, Rajpur, Wadrafnagar, Shankargarh and Kusumi of Balrampur district, two blocks namely lakhanpur and Udaipur of Sarguja district, three blocks namely Dharamjaigarh, lailunga and Pusaur of Raigarh district, Baikunthpur block of Koriya, Patthalgaon block of Jashpur, Bhanupratappur and Narharpur of Kanker district, Chhura, Fingeshwar and Gariband block of Gariaband district, Kurud, Magarlod and Nagri block of Dhamtari district, Bastar, Bastanar, Bakawand, Darbha, Tokapal and lohandigunda blocks of Bastar district.
