A meeting for observing ‘No Smoking Day’ scheduled on May 31 has been called by District Collector Basavraju S. on Friday.
The ‘No Smoking Day’ is observed under the National Tobacco Control Programme and Cigarette and other Tobacco Product Act 2013.
The Collector has called the meeting with aim of increasing coordination among various departments ahead of ‘No Smoking Day’.
The In-charge officers of various departments, Chairman of district Chamber of Commerce, Civil Surgeon and Chief Medical Officer of all blocks have been asked to take part in the meeting.
