Collector Amit Kataria and Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Yadav inspected two under-construction roads on a hill near village Ratenga in Bastar district. The Ratenga hill is considered to be more sensitive region because of Naxal activities. In view of that, the 212th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has  been posted here since 2011.

Executive Engineer Ajay Pradhan, In-charge of CRPF camp Ratan Mina and Chief  Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat Ghanshyam Jangde were present at the spot  inspection of the Collector.

Executive Engineer Pradhan said that in order to connect the beautiful hill with Ratenga and Kachnar villages, roads were being constructed. The length of Ratenga Road is 4 km and Kaknar road is 2 km. Earlier Kaknar road was merely a pathway.

The road is being constructed after cutting the hills. This road would look like somewhat Keshkal valley.  He said that after construction of the road, villages Chandela Dharma Beda, Parounda, Kantabas, Khapadi and some other villages would be inter-connected.
