Collector KC Devsenapati, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kamlochan Kashyap and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Haresh Mandavi recently inspected godowns in the district where gas cylinders and explosive materials have been stored.
While inspecting the Dantewada, Karli and Geedam godowns, the Collector directed the officers concerned to ensure proper security arrangements for the room where the explosive materials were stored.
He asked the officers to avoid use of power connection in order to prevent any incident of fire due to short circuit.
The Collector also asked to impose ban on use of mobile phone near the room.
Inspecting the Geedam gas godown, Devsenapati directed the authority concerned to increase the height of boundary wall and to remove damaged gas cylinders immediately.
District Mines Officer, Additional SP Ram Krishna Sahu, Food Inspector Amit Shukla and other officials were present on the occasion.
