Collector Niranjan Das ordered to deduct a day’s salary of those who remained absent without giving prior information.The salary of Executive Engineer, PWD and Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) will be issued with the permission of the Collector, officials informed.
Das took the action after conducting surprise inspection of the office of Executive Engineer, PWD on Thursday.He reached the office in the morning and waited for employees.The Collector found that the Executive Engineer himself was not present in the office. The Sub Divisional Officer of Sub Division -2 and a Clerk were also absent while a Deputy Engineer and three clerks were found absent in Sub Division-1 office. In addition to this three employees reached late.
Das expressed dissatisfaction and ordered to give half day emergency leave to the late comers and to deduct a day’s salary of absent employees.For Executive Engineer and SDO, the Collector said that their salary should be released only after taking his consent.
Meanwhile Assistant Commissioner – Tribal Welfare Department SK Wahne and Project Director of Integrated Tribal Development Project NS Parihar conducted inspection of primary and secondary schools besides Girls’ Ashram in different development blocks of the district.
The officers found that Head Master and Assistant teacher of Asra Primary school besides Headmistress of Ghatkarra High School were absent without prior information. They ordered to stop on day salary of these employees.
