The Collector of Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district, Pushpendra Meena, has urged officials to vaccinate people against Covid-19 at their homes as most villagers are now busy harvesting their crops.
An official communiqué on Tuesday quoted the Collector as saying that the momentum of vaccination should not slow down.
It has to be ensured that people even in the farthest corners of district are vaccinated, Meena added.
He expressed satisfaction over the vaccination of those aged 45 years and above.
He also sought to know the reasons why in some villages the vaccination drive was slow. The drive has to be stepped up, he said.
The official warned of stern action against government employees found negligent in vaccination duty.
To ensure that school education is not affected, the Collector told the officials not to engage school teachers in the vaccination drive.
