Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale convened a meeting of District level Task Force members to discuss about the forthcoming launch of Pulse Polio Campaign at the Collectorate here. In the meeting, the officials were informed that the Pulse Polio Campaign will be launched be held in two phases on January 19 and February 22.
Kangale said that the children below five years of age should be administered pulse polio drops. During the first phase, the representative would be visiting residences on January 19 and 20 whereas the second phase of the campaign should be executed on February 22, she said. The officials were directed in the meeting to ensure that the publicity for the campaign be done properly in the remote villages so that maximum children could benefit with the drop. The supervising team has also been directed to ensure that the scheme be executed properly on ground level.
District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Vilas Sandipan Bhoskar, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr P R Kumbkar, Block Medical Officer along with others were present during the meeting.
