Collector and District Electoral Officer P Dayanand has directed officials to serve a notice to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) under the Anti Defacement law after finding its party symbol on a wall at Sukwapara in the district.
Dayanand inspected various polling centres during his tour of the district while directing to officials to make elaborate arrangements for conduct of the Assembly polls, according to an official press release issued here on Wednesday.
The Collector on Tuesday visited polling centres in Khairbanakhurd, Ghongha, Chapari and Rajnandgaon and took stock of the poll arrangements being made. Dayanand also met the residents of several villages in the district who informed that they have received the voter ID cards.
