Collector KC Devsenapati on Tuesday instructed the officers concerned to complete all the pending construction works in all the four development blocks - Dantewada, Geedam, Kuakonda and Katekalyan - and nagar panchayats immediately.
In the weekly time-limit meeting held at the district office the collector discussed in detail the problems related to farmers and villagers with the district officials and instructed them to complete cases pending the various departments soon.
After collecting information about the officers and employees on strike, the collector, in a letter written to the superintendent of police, asked him to make necessary security arrangements and to deploy Nagar Sainiks in the offices concerned.
Additional collector SR Sahu, in-charge sub divisional officer Om Prakash Verma, deputy collectors Shiv Kumar Tiwari and Vijay Kujur and district level officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
Officers from agriculture department informed in the meeting that so far 5.529 Kisan Credit Cards have been prepared in the district and remaining work is in progress. The collector instructed them to prepare the Kisan Credit Cards on priority basis.
He asked the officers of Public Health Engineering Department to ensure drinking water arrangements, in view of the monsoon season. He instructed the health department officers to remain alert on the health-related problems.
In the meeting, the collector got a line on registration of unorganised workers and construction labourers from the officers of the labour department.
The labour officer informed the collector that 16,962 unorganised workers have been registered in the district so far. On this the collector instructed to form teams at nagar panchayat level for bringing progress in the registration work.
He instructed the officers of irrigation department to personally contact the banks concerned for sanctioning amount for tube-wells to those farmers of the district who have completed the digging of tube wells, but could not got electricity connection and pump.
