Following the State Government’s call for supporting Anganwadis, the District Collector Niranjan Das has adopted Bendkura Anganwadi as ‘Anganwadi Mitra’ during the ongoing ‘Anganwadi Gunwakta Unnayan Abhiyan’ (Anganwadi Quality Upgradation Campaign) on Tuesday.
Also, he adopted two children Dimple and Ankushraj as ‘Bal Mitra’.
Notably, the Child Development services offered in each Anganwadi is being evaluated under the programme.
The main aim is to ensure the distribution of nutritious food to targetted malnourished children and provide Ready-to-Eat food packets regularly.
Thousands of Anganwadi Kendras and 181 Mini-Anganwadi Kendras have been adopted by Bal Mitras, said officials.
As many as 515 teams are looking over the proper functioning of the Campaign.
