Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale has directed officials that the information on total acerage of land owned by paddy farmers must be available with the patwaris for knowing the exact quantum of paddy available with them during their registration process for procurement.
She said that the key purpose of the registration of farmers is to purchase paddy from only real farmers and their registration would be done by the same society which would purchase paddy from them.Kangale also informed that the registration of the farmers would be done at 41 paddy procurement centers of the district in the various societies till September 30, 2014.
She said that registration of the farmers would not be done by the concerned Society after September 30.
The farmers who fail to get themselves registered within the precribed time period will have to get their names registered by providing the required details and documents in the Tehsildar’s office latest by October 15, 2014, following which, the registration of farmers would be completely stopped in the district.
