Celebrating the 7th Raising Day, officers and jawans of 204th Battalion of Combat Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) donated blood and planted saplings here.
The uniformed forces are not only ready to shed their own blood for the sake of peace and security of the country, but are also willing to donate blood to help the needy to survive. This was the underlying spirit behind the officers and jawans who donated blood at the hospital of the camp with the help of Maharani Hospital.
The enthusiasm of the donors was infectious as many more jawans trooped in to volunteer. An Ecological Park developed by the battalion was also inaugurated on the day at the hands of the Commandant of 201st Battalion of CoBRA RW Dawa.
Addressing the jawans, Commandant Dawa said that planting of fruit-bearing and shady trees would help in extending greenery and bring momentum in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
204th Battalion Commanding Officer Harshvardhan said that conservation of environment was the social and moral responsibility of the force.
He informed that sapling plantation drive would be continued at all the units of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). "The force had motivated rural people to plant saplings and also distributed free saplings among them," he said.
Sports activities, including football, volleyball, basketball and other track and field events were organised among six battalions of CRPF to mark the day.
