Under the leadership of chief minister Raman Singh the next phase of the statewide Vikas Yatra will begin from Aarang block headquarters in Raipur district on August 17, which would conclude on September 07 at Ambikapur, the district headquarters of Surguja district.
For the inauguration of the Yatra on August 17, the Chief Minister has invited leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Sushma Swaraj, as chief guest, whereas, the BJP national president Rajnath Singh will be chief guest of the concluding function. During his Vikas Yatra, the chief minister will conduct an intense tour of the districts of Bilaspur and Sarguja revenue divisions and by participating in various public meetings, he will perform bhumi poojan and dedication of different development works worth crores of rupees.
According to an official press statement issued here on Tuesday, on the first day of the fourth phase of Vikas Yatra, the chief minister would dedicate and perform bhumi poojan of different development and construction works at the public meeting organized at Aarang, at 11.30 am. At 1.30 pm Dr Singh will reach Navapara by his Vikas Rath and at 4 pm he will reach Abhanpur block headquarters and address a public meeting there. At 6.45 pm he will attend a welcome meeting at Mana and then return to Raipur.
On August 18, at 11 am, the chief minister will reach Ratanpur in Bilaspur district by helicopter and after performing pooja-archana at famous Mahamaya temple, he will attend the welcome meeting there. At 12.15 pm he will reach Kota block headquarters by helicopter and address a public meeting there and then he will proceed on the Vikas Rath for village Kargikala and then village Tendua. After attending Vikas Yatra progrmmes at Takhtapur in Mungeli district on the same day, the chief minister will address a public meeting lormi block headquarters at 4 pm. After visiting Chandli and Kanteli villages, he will address a public meeting at Mungeli district headquarters at 6.45 pm and will have night halt there.
On August 19, the chief minister, the chief minister will meet various delegations and after holding a press conference at 10.30 am, he will proceed for the next destination of the Vikas Yatra. After attending public meetings at Takhtpur and Sakri village he will address a public meeting at Bilha block headquarters of Bilaspur district at 3.30 pm. Dr Singh will reach Bilaspur at 6.15 pm on the same day after attending meetings at Chakkarbhata Chowk and Tiphara and after attending a road show he will address a public meeting at Bilaspur. The fifth phase of his Vikas Yatra will start on August 22 with a public meeting at Belthara village in Bilaspur district.
