In order to encourage youths of Chhattisgarh for self-employment, on the line of the Prime Minister Self Employment Scheme, Chief Minister Self Employment Scheme will be started soon in the State.
loans would be provided to unemployed youths through banks for starting small industries and service business, informed principal secretary commerce and industry department N Baijendra Kumar, at the review meeting of the department held here on Friday.
In the meeting district-wise review of the implementation of the schemes run by the commerce and industries department has been done. Industries director Shruti Singh, senior officers of the department and general managers of district industries centres were present in the meeting. The principal secretary said that to promote development of industries, industries development centres would be established in all the districts. He instructed the general managers of district industries centres to start work for the selection and acquisition of proper land for it. Keeping in mind the non-availability of land the principal secretary has stressed on promoting service business.
He emphasised on the need for making easy the process of establishment of industries. The industrialists who have made registry for establishment of industry would be given all the facilities and concession being provided by the department, he said.
He said that a skill development mission has been started in the state to link youths to employment and under this mission, trained youths should be encouraged for establishment of self employment industries and service business.
Director industries Shruti Singh said that information should be given to the youths about the facilities and concessions being given by the industries department through wide publicity of the schemes run by it, especially about the grant and other facilities for the establishment of industries in the tribal areas. In the meeting, review of the implementation of micro, small, large, mega and ultra-mega industries’ projects in each district has been done.
