Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday met grieving members of two families in village Soram in Dhamtari district who lost 10 members in a road accident.
The 10 from Soram's Sahu family and one member of the Dhruv family were killed between Charama and Jagatara on May 3.
Baghel consoled the relatives of the Sahu family and the members of the Dhruv family.
The Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs 40 lakh to Rahul Sahu, son of the deceased Sahu family, and Rs. 4 lakh each to relatives of the dead. A cheque of Rs 4 lakh was given to the Dhruv family.
The accident took place when a truck and a van carrying the families collided near Balodgahan in Balod district.
