CM to inaugurate Nahargaon-Kochwai Bridge on Dec 27

Published on:

Chief Minister Raman Singh will inaugurate Nahargaon Kochwai bridge constructed at a cost of Rs12 crore on Sunday (December 27).

People of as many as 26 villages had to suffer earlier during floods due to the unavailability of a bridge in the region.

Officials stated that the Chief Minister will also launch the distribution of Devbhog Milk in Mid-day Meal Scheme.

The milk to be supplied for the Mid-day meal scheme will remain fit for consumption for 90 days as latest technology has been adapted for milk processing, officials stated.

Notably, last month the announcement to provide milk along with the other items in the Mid-day meal was made by the State Government.

Earlier, the Gariaband District Administration had started the scheme of providing tiffin boxes to students for carrying lunch and serving egg in the Mid-Day Meal to tackle malnutrition among children.

As per schedule, Singh will reach Kaseru village, located at a distance of five kilometres from Gariaband District Headquarters on Sunday wherein the inauguration of Nahargaon Kochwai bridge is scheduled.

Moreover, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stones and unveil various Government projects of over Rs1 crore.

The District Administration has geared up for welcoming Singh. Several work plans have been made in the time limit meeting held recently.

Farmers hailing from 12 villages including Kaseru are excited regarding the forthcoming visit of the Chief Minister, said officials.
