Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the state-wide ‘Roka Chheka’ drive on July 1.
Making an appeal to all farmers, he said on Wednesday that their cooperation is required for the event to succeed.
Baghel said with good monsoon, farmers have begun agriculture related works. Sowing is also in progress. The biggest concern is cattle which graze standing crops.
The traditional event of the state ‘Roka Chheka’ comes to the rescue of the crop and cattle, states an official communication.
He said the cattle can be kept at residences, backyards or gauthans, where they are provided fodder and water. The work has been made easy as now each village has gauthan.
Additionally, the cattle needs to be vaccinated during monsoon from diseases, he added.
