Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday directed Chief Secretary R.P. Mandal to ensure all necessary steps to contain the spread of Covid-19 among officers and employees in the state Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan) and Head of Department building (Indravati Bhavan) at Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar.
Baghel told Mandal to hold interactions with all employees’ organizations to ensure that safety methods in both buildings do not affect official work.
An official communication quoted the Chief Minister as saying that it should be ensured that after testing positive, officers and employees do not face any issues. Baghel directed that all the security measures should be implemented with a stern hand.
On Monday, 158 officers and employees of both buildings were found Covid-19 positive. As per reports, these included 95 from Mahanadi Bhavan and 63 from Indiravati Bhavan. The authorities said that everyone will be provided with medicines.
