The situations in Bastar are no more hidden and by praising a disputed officer in the region; the Chief Minister has signalled that police can go to any extent in Bastar; Congress legislature Party (ClP) leader TS Singhdeo said here on Thursday.
He was reacting over Chief Minister Raman Singh eulogising Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bastar Range, SRP Kalluri during police officers meeting held at Naya Raipur on Wednesday.
“The same police officer was posted in the same range while Jheeram Ghati incident happened and by extolling such police officer, the Chief Minister has approved the incident” Singhdeo alleged while talking to reporters at party’s State headquarters Congress Bhawan here.
Several daughters were raped in Government hostel in Bastar region and Chief Minister has praised the working of such police officer over whose actions question mark should be raised, he said.
Singhdeo also raised the issue of thrashing of an elderly man at Bario in Surguja district. He alleged that a businessman associated with ruling BJP government in the State had called about 30 to 40 goons from Jharkhand who attacked the elderly for getting land in order to install stone crusher over there.
“The Chief Minister should think about taking action against officers indulging in wrongdoings,” Singhdeo said while questioning that why is Chief Minister silent over Meena Khalkho incident.
He also charged that by not initiating action against IAS officer involved in food and civil supplies scam the Chief Minister has mocked his own policy of zero tolerance.
