Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday named a road linking Pandit Vidyacharan Shukla Chowk (OCM) to Kotwali Chowk here after social worker and senior Congress leader Inderchand Dhadiwal.
At a function held at the Netaji Subhash Stadium, Baghel paid tribute to the late Dhadiwal and recalled his contribution in the development of Raipur. Mayor Aijaz Dhebar presided over the event, an official communication said.
The function marked Dhadiwal's first death anniversary.
The Chief Minister said Dhadiwal dedicated his entire life to social welfare. "Today, to preserve his memories, we have decided to name the road from OCM Chowk to Kotwali Chowk in Raipur city after Dhadiwal."
