Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday launched the Chhattisgarh State Food Commission website kadhya.cg.nic.in/cgsfc

Baghel said that through the website, complaints related to the Public Distribution System (PDS) along with food and nutrition security schemes can be resolved quickly and in a transparent manner.

The beneficiaries of the schemes can register their complaints directly on the website. They need not to visit the Commission’s office or other offices, an official statement said.

The State Food Commission has been constituted to monitor the implementation and complaint redressal of the PDS, midday meal scheme, balanced diet scheme, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana and nutritious food assistance scheme in hostel-cum-ashrams of tribal areas, said Baghel.

He added that several complaints were received during visits to different places but there was no system to resolve it. Now, a solution through the website has been found.

Now, the complainant can know the status of his complaint. During the UPA government, he said, the Right to Food law was made and each person could get 5 kg of foodgrains. In Chhattisgarh, 35 kg of rice is distributed per family.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said all efforts are aimed at bringing transparency in the implementation of the schemes. The website will assist in this direction.

The Zila Panchayat Chief Executive Officers have been made Complaint Resolution Officer.
