Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the Mukhyamantri Swalpahaar Yojana for schoolchildren on Sunday in Chhattisgarh’s Maoist-hit Sukma district, an official communique said.
Under the scheme, schoolchildren in classes 1 to 5 will be provided breakfast as per the prescribed menu five days a week.
The scheme will be implemented in 681 primary schools in the district. About 17,000 children will benefit.
An additional incentive will be provided to the school cooks for implementing this scheme.
At the event, the Chief Minister distributed tiffin to the children.
