A week-long ‘Swadeshi Mela’ held under the aegis of India Marketing Development began at the BTI ground in the city on Saturday.
Chief Minister Raman Singh inaugurated week-long fair by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
In his address, Singh said that that it is a commendable initiative for promotion of ‘Swadeshi’ products and to promote the products of small and cottage industries of Chhattisgarh and other states of the nation.
To upgrade skills of youngsters, Central and State government is implementing several schemes and the dream of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Make in Chhattisgarh’ is coming true in such events where Baba Ramdev is competing with multi-national companies, Singh further said.
