Maintaining his earlier resolve to initiate stern action against grabbers of Government land, Chief Minister Raman Singh on Thursday took serious note of a complaint about encroachment of land of a Government hospital in Mandir Hasaud area of Raipur district for construction of a shopping complex.
Singh issued directives to Raipur District Collector Thakur Ram Singh to immediately probe the matter and remove the encroachment, if the complaint is found to be true.
The Chief Minister received the complaint during ‘Jandarshan’ programme, which was organised here at his residence.
A delegation of Chhattisgarh State Backward Classes Development Union led by its State president Suraj Nirmalkar handed over a memorandum to the Chief Minister and complained that land of a Government hospital in Mandir Hasaud had been encroached over by an influential person of the area for construction of shopping complex.
This is despite the fact that the State government has allotted that land to the hospital for construction of new ward with 10-bed capacity and has already sanctioned funds for the same, they had stated in the memorandum.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the matter will be probed on a serious note and those found guilty will not be spared.
This apart, the ‘Mitanin’ trainers from various development blocks of the State had met the Chief Minister and informed that the trainers are working in respective blocks as block coordinators of Health Department since year 2004.
The trainers complained that their honorarium is considerably low, as compared to the responsibilities borne by them which include daily travelling of at least 25-30 km for birth-death report, registration of pregnant women, gathering people of village for meetings of Village Health and Nutrition Committee and other promotional works of National Health Programmes.
Singh assured the delegation of considering their memorandum on a serious note.
The Chief Minister praised the dedication and sincerity of Mitanin Trainers in their works.
He said that the trainers and Mitanins trained by them play an important role in providing primary health services to people of rural areas.
Moreover, Singh also gave immediate approval to construction of community halls in village Kumurda and village Khaprabhat (Gram Panchayat Aaliwara) of Chhuria development block of Rajnandgaon district, on request of Panch-Sarpanch and people of the villages.
On the occasion, former MlA of lundra area of Sarguja district Bhola Singh also met Chief Minister and handed over memorandum for construction of roads and bridges in the area.
