Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was in for a pleasant surprise on Saturday when he met a friend after 43 long years.
Baghel was on a visit to Tamasivni in the Abhanpur assembly constituency as part of his public interaction.
From the stage, the Chief Minister spotted friend Rooplal Sahu seatdd in the front row among the public.
Recognizing him, he invited him to the dais. Both hugged each other warmly as they were meeting after 43 years. The crowds broke into a thunderous applause.
Baghel, turning to the public, said: “It has been after 43 long years that I am meeting my friend who was my room partner. Today, he is a Principal in Gariyaband.”
