Keeping in view the Chandrakhuri temple's potential to develop as a tourist spot on the outskirts of Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel called for arranging basic facilities at the Maa Kaushalya temple premises.

Enthused with the crowds gathered on New Year, Baghel instructed Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain to enhance beautification at Chandrakhuri and arranging facilities for devotees.

He called for road widening, street lights and better parking arrangements. Instructions were given to put up water filters both inside and outside the temple grounds.

The temple's boundary wall must be embellished with inscriptions from the story of Ramkatha, the Chief Minister said.

Instructions were also given to beautify the 'Samudra Manthan' and Lord Vishnu statues at the pond.
